Hello LAVA fans, for this month’s meeting we have an extra special guest from Austin, Texas- you’re invited to join us for an evening of VJ presentations with Peter Nyboer from Livid Instruments who will be showing off Union and Cell VJ software.

Peter Nyboer is the software designer for Livid Instruments. A small company that started as a VJ software company, Livid has recently expanded its hardware division, and is making low-volume, high quality, MIDI controllers for audio and video performance. With three video software products, and a variety of open-source audio programs, Peter has his hands full, and hopes to give you a glimpse of it all in his presentation. From Livid Union’s comprehensive approach to video mixing, to the simple immediacy of CellDNA, with some strange sounds from OhmSound and LividLooper, all controlled with the Ohm64 and Block controllers, Peter’s presentation will be a extensive trip through digital media performance.
